Crafting...we need more crafting in the monitors, please!

So, it's been a looong time coming, but I've finally gotten around to setting up this here blog! Hooray! Procrastination + over extending ourselves = not ever blogging!!! But all that is to be remedied ASAP! It's almost summer, and I for one have always felt more crafty during the summer months. I don't know if it's all that conditioning from the traditional school year system, where the only free fun time was during summer, hence, crafty fun time is synonymous with summery goodness, or if it's a by-product of the warm weather that makes me feel especially inspired over the summer.

This summer I decided to brush the dust off of all those donated crafting supplies from last year's SaturationFest and partake in another Art Supply Swap and Craft at Back to the Grind on Day Three of Saturation. Quite a few people showed up throughout the day, and all the left overs of the swap have been absorbed into R.C.T.'s growing supplies, to be used during future Crafty Sundays.

Get ready, folks, it's coming sooner than later!!!
And to kick off Crafty Sundays in a big way, Riverside Craft Therapy will be holding a reprise of the Recycled #6 Plastic Shrinky Dink workshop over at the Life Arts building on June 26th as part of To-Do Fest!!!! To-Do Fest is an awesome gathering of amazing artists, musicians, green educators together to help spread the word about sustainable living. Who can't get on board with that good stuff? If you are interested in partaking of the Shrinky Dink workshop, bring any clean #6 plastic you have collected, (the flatter, the better), permanent markers, and/or any old jewelry we can cannibalize for parts (i.e. necklace closures, jump rings, earring hooks)...we will have some to share!

If you can't make it this day, please check back with us for upcoming events...there's a lot in the works for this summer! A sewing workshop, a papermaking workshop, and a possible joining of the forces of R.C.T. with Riverside Art Bazaar & Division 9 Gallery North!!!! Ooooh, I sure do love summer!!!
